Last month we discussed how our intuition can change its tone during in-between times, how this can add to the sense of stuckness and being lost.

This month, I want to reflect on another powerful aspect of Intuition Development, specifically through practicing with card reading. That is our Intuition's capacity to weaken the trauma response.

Ultimately, Trauma is a collision. Something happens that we cannot dismiss, we cannot forget, we cannot 'just move forward'. It leaves a mark in our soul, in our understanding of the world and how we should move in it.

For many trauma survivors one of the earliest realizations is a sort of aloness with their pain. Perhaps we found out our parents did not believe us or did not make changes based on what we shared, and we felt on our own. Perhaps we had to keep things secret to protect our loved one's stability and even safety so we shouldered the pain and the guilt of what we experienced.

Perhaps we did receive emotional support from those close to us, but soon found out we were still expected to perform normally at work, or to ace a test. So we had to push down on the waves crashing inside of us.

And yet, when we begin to open spiritually, when we reclaim our sensitivity, it can be hard to stay present in the emotional realm Intuiton often speaks through, it can be hard to stay attuned to our body when so many other memories are also stored there.

This is where Card Reading can become a valuable tool. Instead of receiving all the guidance directly we have it expressed through cards adding a layer of safety. Instead of having to track everything mentally (which can be hard if we have anxious or avoidant attachment) it's laid out externally, for you to explore and understand at a pace that supports you.

You can choose to pull 5 cards if you are feeling energetic or only 1 if you are feeling raw and would prefer to keep it short.

You can use cards to connect to your feelings if that comes more naturally, or you can use them to speak to your mind in ideas and archetypes.

It's like hiring a facilitator between you and your Intuition. It's part of what made me fall in love with them 17 years ago.

It creates a shared language between you and your Intuiton, between you and your guides.

If you would like to explore this aspect of Card reading, and you like my approach please join me in the upcoming Intro to Card Reading class, details are listed below.

Much love to you my friend,

Andrea
