Many of us had to grow up before we were ready. This workshop is an invitation to honour what hurt while reconnecting with the joy, playfulness and capacity for love that still live within you.

Saturday Sep 19 @ 5pm-830pm

*In-person*

Perhaps we became responsible for other people’s feelings, learned to anticipate the needs of the adults around us or took on roles that were too large for a child. We may have become capable, independent or emotionally mature—but lost touch with something essential along the way.

This workshop is an invitation to reconnect with the inner child as more than the part of us that was wounded.

Our inner child also carries our natural capacity for joy, playfulness, curiosity, trust and the experience of giving and receiving love. When childhood pain becomes inseparable from this part of ourselves, connecting with the inner child can feel sad, overwhelming or focused entirely on what was missing.

Together, we will explore how to honour the wounds of childhood while beginning to distinguish them from the living, joyful energy of the child within us.

Imagine a path to healing.

Drawing on Family Constellations principles, guided meditation and gentle movement practices, this experiential workshop will support you in:

  • Recognizing the roles or responsibilities you may have taken on too early

  • Meeting childhood wounds with compassion without allowing them to define your inner child

  • Strengthening your connection to joy, playfulness and aliveness

  • Becoming more available to love, tenderness and support

  • Making space for a different relationship with your younger self

No previous experience with Family Constellations, meditation or movement practices is necessary.

You will enjoy this workshop if:

  • You had to become responsible or self-sufficient at an early age

  • You were expected to care for, protect or emotionally support others

  • Play, rest or receiving attention can feel uncomfortable

  • Inner-child work has seemed focused only on pain and unmet needs

  • You want to reconnect with a more joyful, spontaneous and loving part of yourself

  • You are longing for greater tenderness and ease in your relationship with yourself

Please wear comfortable clothing that allows you to move and sit or lie down with ease.

Although the workshop draws on Family Constellations principles, it is not a traditional Family Constellations circle and participants will not be setting up individual constellations.

FAQ

Is physical contact required?

No. Some exercises may offer the possibility of supportive, clothed physical contact with another participant, but all contact is optional. Every exercise can be adapted to be practised without touch, and you will be encouraged to honour your boundaries and choose the form of participation that feels right for you.

Is this a Family Constellations circle?

No. Although the workshop draws on Family Constellations principles, it is not a traditional constellation circle. Participants will not be setting up individual constellations. We will explore the workshop’s theme together through guided meditation, reflective exercises and gentle movement practices.

Will I have to share personal experiences with the group?

You will be invited to reflect on your own experiences, but you will not be required to disclose anything you do not wish to share. You are always welcome to choose what feels appropriate to express within the group.
